Abstract
Daily life therapy (DLT) adopts a clear-cut client-centered approach in that it, firstly, makes a systematic endeavor to arrive at the holistic understanding of client¡¯s life, especially through participatory observation. Secondly, it applies its psychotherapeutic contents and methods based on the contextual understanding of clients¡¯ real life. This paper was prepared to show why psychotherapists should enter into client¡¯s daily life for better understanding and why they need to restructure daily used language, a representation of one¡¯s situated life by analyzing the colonized aspects of client¡¯s daily life-world within the oppressive social structures. Lastly, this paper illustrates the demonstration of DLT methodologies with its clinical case study.
